TWO SAMPLE SONGS
1. IF MY PEOPLE
CHORUS
If my people who are called by My Name
Will humble themselves and pray
If they’ll seek me with all of their hearts
And turn from their wicked ways
Then will I hear from Heaven
And I’ll forgive their sin
I’ll turn My Face back toward them
And I will heal their land
O God, my God how great is the darkness
When brother betray each other
O God, my God how deep the divide
When filled with our hatred and pride
CHORUS
O God, my God we’ve hardened our hearts
Slow to forgive and dying to live
O God, my God we’ve wandered away
Lord, bring us back now we pray
CHORUS
2. AS YOU HAVE LOVED ME
But for all who will believe
In my words and receive
One who won’t forsake or leave
CHORUS
My Father, just as You are in Me
May they be also in us
That the world may see
All that it can be
When they love each other
As You have loved Me
My prayer is they will live in us
As I’m in You and You’re in Me
May the find unity
As the Spirit sets them free
CHORUS
This is the witness
That You sent Your Son
And love them like You love Me
And do not condemn
And as We are one
Abba, let them become
That Your heart for Me
Is also in them

3. ONE
One God
One Lord
One Spirit refines us together
One crimson cord binds us together
In Love
One Faith
One Hope
One promise unites us forever
One life will delight us forever
In Love
One voice of many colors calling each tribe, tongue, and nation
One light shines in the darkness sending forth an invitation
One song we sing in praise of Him Whose Kingdom will not end
One word becoming flesh in every heart who calls Him friend

4. IS THERE ROOM IN YOUR HEART?
Softly I prayed, then like everyone else
I turned away
I heard a voice ask, do you care?
Is there room in your heart?
Is there faith anywhere?
Long ago a simple man
Led his wife with child to Bethlehem
Every door was closed to them
No place to lay their weary heads
No room for Him
I saw a man silvered and bent
Lost in the crowd, as people walked by
He was breaking inside
Humbly he asked
Do you know the way?
Is there room in your heart?
Is there faith in these days?
Long before a church bell rang
The Son of God was born the night
The angels sang
Shepherds came to see the sight
The love of God wrapped up in rags
And crowned with light
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
I need you today like they needed You then
Come live in my heart again
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hardened and cold in a world without grace
Lord, I need to see Your face
Long ago in Bethlehem
Jesus laid His glory by to walk with men
Let every heart make room for Him
And every weary soul be born again

5. ANI L’DODI V’DODI LI
(For Tirzah and Brian Olson)
I will be yours and you’ll be mine
In the morning when I rise
And at evening close my eyes
Ani l’dodi v’dodi li
Through the laughter and the tears
In the wake of all our years
Ani l’dodi v’dodi li
And the two shall be as one
In the love of God’s Son
Ani l’dodi v’dodi li
Today I give my heart to you
And everything I am
Trusting in a greater love
To hold us in His hand
Lord, hold us in Your hand
Ani l’dodi v’dodi li
I will be yours and you’ll be mine

6. GOD SAVED THE BEST FOR NOW
(For Michael)
And see the changes in time would not always be kind
But there’s Someone who makes all things new
Even when hope had died, all our dreams had run dry
Now it’s all come true, God has walked us through
Many deserts and seas, times of plenty and need
And if first love dimmed something stronger grew in
To help carry us on, learn to sing a new song
Even so there’s more than all that’s gone before
And I won’t settle for less (my dear)
Than you and me in the arms of the only One who sees
Trusting together we’ll find somehow
God saved the best for now
When we said “I do” our love was still new
Like a gift wrapped and tied, couldn’t see the inside
We believed that He would more than guarantee
If we followed His plan, that was how we began
But when the ribbon broke old mem’ries awoke
Tasted laughter and tears, had to face some deep fears
And when the storms within tore through soul and skin
Greater love prevailed when we were sure ours had failed

7. GRACE
Drowning in darkness, consuming me whole
Where truth is a lie, every smile pretends
The blackness within an abyss without end
Apart from Your love I am falling
Apart from Your mercy everything in me is dust
And I fall on my face in the presence of Grace
And wonder each time I return
Why You call me by name, wash the sin and the shame
It’s a kindness that no one can earn
Who is like You O God
No one and nothing compare
You alone are God
Heaven and Earth will declare Your praise
None can share Your praise
Down on my knees, still trapped in my head
As You listen to me wish myself dead
Apart from Your love I am dying
Apart from Your mercy nothing within will survive this grave
Only You can save
And I fall on my face, a stranger to Grace
As Your words reach in and resound
Love never ends, Mercy transcends
Though great is the sin–Grace abounds
Who is like You my God
No one and nothing compare
You alone are God
With Heaven and Earth I declare Your praise
All my days

8. THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST
(A Christmas Carol)
There’s far too much to tell
I heard you crying in the back
And came to wish you well
While all around the carols swell
There’s hope in every heart
But stone-faced you sit, dark inside
A statue set apart
My dear, you cannot hear me now
I truly wish you could
For so much joy has blossomed since
You moved from where I stood
Your heart will break, your soul will soar
You’ll weep until you sing
This darkness will become a light
This chain a gleaming wing
And you will learn beyond a doubt
That you are loved and known
That healing comes from barren lands
Where love has overflown
I cannot linger long, my dear
For you are but the past
I bid you Christmas once again
For one more year has passed
I kiss your face as you fade out
And where you stood I stand
We are alive and we are well
And held in Healing Hands

9. SAR SHALOM
Amid a war of words
The Prince of Peace is calling
One day He will be heard
By all the poor in spirit
The blind who long to see
Those who live in darkness
Everyone who will believe
CHORUS
Yeshua HaMashiach, Adon HaKavod
Desire of the nations, promised One of old
Moshiach HaOlam, pierced for our transgressions
His blood bought release, He became our peace
Sar Shalom, Sar Shalom
In the ruin and ashes
Of dreams left unfulfilled
The voice of God is sounding
Stirring all who will rebuild
In long forgotten places
In willing wounded souls
There will be a planting
Of the Hope that makes us whole
CHORUS
You walked through the walls
We raised up in our hurt and fear
Opened eyes and ears
So we could finally see and hear
The love that heals the broken heart of man

10. O SHINING SEA
(In memory of Fran Krausman)
In time I will cross you
And I will be free
From all that has kept me
Wearied in body
Burdened in soul
When I stand on that shore
I’ll be whole
O Shining Sea
I hear how you’re laughing
And singing to me
Of Love ever after
All of the wishes and prayers
I’ve held dear
Will be mine when I see you appear
No more tears
No more pain
Unsung songs of grace
Will fill my mouth with praise–His praise
O Shining Sea
One glorious Someday
You’ll call to me
And I’ll sail away
Into the arms of
The One I love best
And there, O my soul, I’ll find rest

11- I WILL DWELL
You came calling many years ago
Left the ninety-nine
I was sure I knew which way to go
Lord, I was so blind
You are the Good Shepherd
You make me whole
Lay me down in fields green and fair
Till I know I’m Home—Home
I will dwell. I will dwell. I will dwell in Your house forever
I will dwell. I will dwell. Let me dwell in Your house forever
Surely goodness and mercy follow me
All the days of my life
And I will dwell. I will dwell. I will dwell in Your house forever
I will dwell.
In the valley deep and full of fear
Enemies pursue
You prepare a table for me here
Your promises are true
Anoint me with oil
Make al things new
Walk me by those quiet waters
My cup overflows—overflows
I will dwell. I will dwell. I will dwell in Your house forever
I will dwell. I will dwell. Let me dwell in Your house forever
Surely goodness and mercy follow me
All the days of my life
And I will dwell. I will dwell. I will dwell in Your house forever
I will dwell.
